Over the past year I have begun doing faux
box beams that are hand carved to give the
look of solid beams. As solid wood beams
dry out they develop "checking", or cracks that
run with the grain. These cracks act as
expansion joints that allow the wood to
breathe. Hollow box beams will not develop
"checking" naturally. In order to give faux
beams the look of real beams, I hand carve
cracks the lengths of beams . I also will
custom distress the beams to the customers
preference.

Custom Designed
and Built bookcase
with a hidden door.

Most hidden door
bookcases are fairly
small and Poorly
designed. This Unit is
over 8' tall and
features a secondary
moving panel that
allows the door to
swing out while still
concealling the
hinges.
