Our Project Completion and Payment Policy

Thank you for choosing Schrock's Custom Woodworking for your custom box beam project. This policy outlines our process from quotation to project completion, payment options, our sales and return policy, and our warranty.

  1. Custom Quotation: Following our consultation, we will provide you with a detailed custom quotation for your specific box beam project. This quote will outline the scope of work and the total project price.

  2. Deposit Payment: Upon your agreement with the provided quotation, we will issue an invoice through Xero for a deposit payment of 50% of the total project price. For secure online payments, we utilize Stripe. We also accept payments via check or cash. This deposit is required to initiate the production of your custom box beams.

  3. Production Timeline and Updates: Once your deposit payment is received, we will communicate the estimated timeline for the production of your custom box beams. We will keep you informed of the progress of your project throughout the build process via [e.g., email, phone].

  4. Project Completion and Final Payment:

    • Self-Installation: If you are self-installing the box beams, our scope of work is considered complete upon the delivery of the beams to your specified location.

    • Our Installation (if applicable): If our services include installation, our scope of work is considered complete upon the successful installation of the box beams.

  5. Final Invoice: Upon completion of the project as defined above, we will issue a final invoice through Xero for the remaining 50% of the total project price (or the agreed-upon balance). We accept payments via Stripe for secure online transactions, as well as checks or cash.

  6. Payment Terms: The final payment is due upon completion of the project unless otherwise negotiated and explicitly stated in our agreement or on the invoice.

  7. Return and Refund Policy: As all our box beams are custom-made to your specific requirements, all sales are final. We do not accept returns. In the event of a project cancellation after a deposit has been paid but before production has commenced, the deposit will be returned, but may be subject to a fee to cover our time invested in project planning and the opportunity cost of scheduling your project. The amount of this fee will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

  8. Warranty Policy: Schrock's Custom Woodworking warrants our product for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion. This warranty is contingent upon a review and our determination that the issue is a direct result of a fault in our workmanship or materials. This warranty does not cover issues arising from neglect of product maintenance by the client. Wood is a dynamic material subject to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors. To maintain this warranty, the environment where the box beams are installed must be controlled for humidity levels. Damage determined by Schrock's Custom Woodworking to be caused by excessive humidity or dryness may not be covered under this warranty, and any repairs will be at the discretion of Schrock's Custom Woodworking.
